UPPER EAST SIDE — These New Yorkers are going to live large — in a 325 square foot apartment.

The Museum of the City of New York will present "Living Large While Living Small," a series of micro-unit housing events — which will include guests spending "24-hour stints living in fully-built micro-unit in the Museum."

The series, which takes place in the final month of the special micro-apartment exhibition"Making Room: New Models for Housing New Yorkers," will also include special guests demonstrating how to cook, organize and decorate in small spaces.

But the big question — whether one can really live in such a small space — will be answered over a three-day period during which "five people will take turns living in the micro-unit to fully experience smaller living quarters."

"They will interact with Museum visitors as well as the outside world via live-blogging, holding Google chats, Instagramming and tweeting during the experience," according to an institution statement.

Participants in this urban experiment include two people their own single beds, testing out what it's like to be "roommates just starting out in the city" in a micro-unit on Aug. 16.

Another two — who live as a couple — will demonstrate living with a romantic partner in a micro-unit on Aug. 17.

One woman "will exemplify what it’s like to live in the apartment as a single person" on Aug. 18.

"The temporary 'residents' will greet visitors, discuss their experiences, and live overnight in the unit. Visitors can track their progress through the Museum’s and the participants’ social media channels," the release said.

They will be on view during the museum's hours, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
